ABOUT THIS EVENT

This event will be the third lunchtime learning event organised by Youth Work Ireland. The aim of these events is to create a space where practitioners can share their work and support each other in an informal environment.

USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO PROMOTE YOUTH WORK

Over the last year how we engage, reach young people and promote our work has changed. The use of social media platforms in getting the word out about what’s taking place in our clubs and services is essential to how we now work. This does not mean that youth workers need to be digital or technical experts, but it is important that we know, at least the basics, and that we are maximising our use of social media.

This lunchtime learning session will provide a space for practitioners to share some of the social media ideas, tips and innovation that have been successful in engaging young people and promoting our service.

This event is open to all staff and volunteers from Youth Work Ireland’s Member Youth Services
