European Youth Work Showcase Event
On Saturday 13th May Youth Work Ireland along with its Member Youth Services hosted celebratory event to promote the value of participation in European funded programmes and initiatives. Youth workers and young people from across our federation have participated in various European funded programmes over the last number of years, and the impact and value of their participation is this event will showcase and evidence.
This event heard directly from youth workers and young people about the positive impact participation in European mobility and exchange programmes have had on their lives. It was also an opportunity for us to collectively promote the value of European youth work with the national agency Léargas to those youth services who have yet to engage.
Speakers on the day included Maria Walsh MEP, Celine Martin, Léargas and Orla Corrigan, PO DCEDIY.
The event also featured a poster boards sharing space which showcased and profiled experiences of European youth work.
