About our Conference

About this event:

Youth Work Ireland and Youth Work Ireland Tipperary working together with all youth information providers in Ireland are pleased host Infonomics: Facts Matter. A conference addressing quality practice and innovation in the delivery of youth information. This event takes place on Wednesday 4th and Thursday 5th October in Ballykisteen Hotel, Limerick Junction.

Infonomics will bring the entire Irish Youth Information sector together to present its knowledge and experience of responding to contemporary issues that affect all of us who work with young people and communities. These include emerging concerns such as AI, the metaverse, hate speech and extremist online content as well as well established areas of work such as young people’s access to participation, work, education and social rights.

The conference is premised on the principle that information and being informed is a precursor to participation in all its’ senses.

“In particular, young people require access to high quality information to make informed decisions in their own lives. The Infonomics Conference promises to deliver valuable insights into how we can improve youth  information provision.”  Roderic O’Gorman, Minister for Children, Equality, Disability, Integration and Youth of Ireland
