Youth Wave

Youth Wave is a celebration of Youth Clubs open to all youth club members. It is a one day event where young people come together to learn and share, be entertained, take part in workshops, network and most importantly have a day of fun. It is an event established from the programmes consultation of 2018.

Youth Wave takes place on 5th October 2019 in Athlone Institute of Technology. This event is open to all Youth Work Ireland club members aged 10 – 18 years of age. This event is fully ticketed and tickets are available to purchase by clicking here>>  until 13th September @ 5.00pm

Draft outline of the Day

Zone 1
This is in the Arena and is the Sports, Entertainment and Fun Zone. This area will consist of team building and team games. We will also have Face Painting, Board Games and the Selfie Mirror situated here. We will be displaying Youth Work Ireland Weeks Activity “Pieces of the Puzzle” in the Arena as well.

Zone 2
We are working with a few sporting organisations to create this zone and it will be confirmed closer to the date as to what activities will take place here.

Zone 3
This is our Learning, Sharing and Workshops Zone. 
These workshops will be fun, interactive and informative. We have workshops on the environment, video making, the road safety authority along with a few others to be included closer to the date. For the leaders/ volunteers we have workshops from Coder Dojo, the RSA & UPS. 

Activities taking place outside of the venue are:  Radio Youth Network for Peace will have an outside broadcast taking place throughout the day.  We will also have a gaming van on the day.
