Help young LGBTI+ people from rural Ireland attend Dublin Pride 2019
Youth Work Ireland’s member youth services provide direct youth work supports and services to LGBT+ young people, who either identify as lesbian, gay, bisexual or transgender or, are questioning their sexuality.
The clubs, projects and youth groups provide young LGBTI+ people with a safe space where they can hang out with their peers in a safe environment, where they can meet, relax, talk, listen to music, and participate in games and organised social and educational activities, supported by trained and professional youth practitioners.
For the last 3 years Youth Work Ireland and Belong To have hosted a breakfast event the morning of Dublin Pride for young people from their membership. The event now in its fourth year will see up to 400 young people gather in Youth Work Ireland’s national offices on Lower Dominick Street, for food, fun, face painting and chats before heading to march in Dublin Pride under the banner ‘Transforming Young LGBTI+ Lives.
We are now looking for your help in supporting these young people from rural Ireland in getting to Dublin Pride. All money raised from the fundraiser will support a young person from a rural location attend Dublin Pride on Saturday, June 29.
