Fundraising and CSR for Youth Work

This half day event will introduce the CoOp Toolkit which is a free practical tool for youth services and clubs to plan their fundraising, and in particular to develop partnerships with Small and Medium businesses.

This event is suitable for youth workers, managers and volunteers alike and participants will leave with the start of a plan for your project. We will also take participants’ input into our Policy Brief, to lobby government and businesses associations to support Corporate Social Responsibility in Youth Work.

This event is hosted by Youth Work Ireland with the support of Erasmus+  and will take place from 10am - 2pm

Digital Youth Work - The Manager’s Perspective

Free seminar and lunch to introducing our innovative Digital Readiness Self-assessment Tools for youth workers and youth organisations. The event will also launch our Research Report on the state of Digital Youth Work in Ireland today.

This event is an opportunity for youth work managers to input into the next stages of the project, in particular the Policy Brief, to advocate together for better Digital Youth Work and Digital Education in Ireland. The event will provide ample opportunity for discussion and networking over lunch. It will be of most interest to Youth Service Managers and senior/specialist youth workers interested in Digital Skills.

YES Project Training

Date: Friday November 1st
Venue: Fire Restaurant, Dublin
Time: 1.30pm-3.30pm

Training session for youth practitioners and educators on how to use a brand new European-wide resource - YES Project (Youth Empowerment in SRE) that will educate young people about safety aspects of sexual health with a focus on consent, well being and avoiding risk. The resource which has been developed with the support of Leargas and Erasmus+  will outline a practical and interactive session youth workers and educators can run with their youth group.

About this Training

Youth Work Ireland, ECYC (European Confederation of Youth Clubs) and LOGO Jugendmanagement (Austria) have developed a new resource for youth workers and educators to support them in their practice and understanding of the issues facing young people in relation to sexual health, with a particular focus on consent, wellbeing, avoiding risk. The resource which has been developed with and for youth workers across Europe is designed to guide and support existing practice. The resource will outline a practical and interactive session youth workers can run with their youth group.

This training event will officially launch the new resource and offer the first round of free training to youth practitioners on how they can use the resource in their youth group setting.

Target Audience

This training is targeted at youth workers, youth club volunteers, teachers, social workers, youth professional and indeed anyone who works with young people and wants to improve their practice around issues of sexual health, consent and wellbeing.

Participation on this training is free, however places are limited and available on a first come first served basis.
