Kildare Youth Services (KYS) is a voluntary organisation providing a range of development and learning opportunities and services throughout County Kildare. These are provided for and with children and young people, their families and communities to be responsive to their changing needs.
We recognise that children, young people, their families and communities choose to engage in and participate with the services and opportunities that we provide. KYS actively promotes voluntary work by its recognition of the role and contribution of unpaid voluntary youth and adult leaders. We aim to support children and young people to learn and develop and to identify and challenge the inequalities that inhibit their development and the development of their communitiies.
We recognise the importance of building relationships with others working to promote the well-being of children, young people and their parents and to respond to their needs.
An inclusive and fair world where children and young people are valued in their own right and actively engaged and supported by their families, communities and wider society, to reach their full potential
We believe that an integrated service enhances the benefits and outcomes that children, young people, staff and volunteers gain from participation in KYS
