Young LGBT+ Young People march in Dublin Pride 2016

Over 250 young people from Youth Work Ireland and Belong To's National Network of LGBT youth clubs, gathered in National Office on the morning of Saturday June 25th, to march in Dublin’s Pride parade. The event created a sense of community and belonging amongst the network of LGBT youth groups and demonstrated how LGBT youth work can transform and save young lives.

We kicked off the morning with breakfast, entertainment, fun & facepainting in Youth Work Ireland's National Office. The group then made their way to the Garden of Rememberance to take their place in Pride. This was the largest ever single group of young people marching under one banner ‘Transforming young LGBT lives’ at Dublin Pride.

The two organisations, who have a longstanding partnership and a history of working with LGBT+ young people around Ireland joined forces to facilitate all young people who want to march and celebrate the recent gains for LGBT+ young people over the last year.
