Carlow Regional Youth Service

Carlow Regional Youth Services is a Local Youth Service based in Carlow town with a range of youth centres, projects and youth work programmes working with young people aged between 8-25 years, their families and communities.  Our mission is “we work to empower young people to achieve their potential through quality youth work”.
We are now looking to recruit the following position:

YOUTH WORKER – FULL-TIME

The posts will require the following skills:

  • Experience of working with young people in a youth work setting
  • Ability to develop youth work programmes and initiatives in response to identified youth needs
  • Capacity to deliver innovative youth work programmes in partnership with young people
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills

The successful candidates will have a third level qualification in Social/ Youth/ Community Work or a related discipline, plus experience of working with young people in a community setting.

Clare Youth Service

Clare Youth Service, a voluntary youth work organisation, is the leading provider of youth work programmes and services to young people in the county Clare.  As part of the ongoing development of the organisation, applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of: Youth Worker  - Full time post

This involves the delivery of a range of programmes for and with teenagers including:

  • Youth led Youth Café
  • Youth Activity Groups – in the areas of arts, technology and drama
  • Personal Development Groups – building resilience and supporting improved mental wellbeing
  • Natural Highs programme –supporting young people through positive activity as part of the Drugs Education prevention project.
     
  • Key requirements for this post include a qualification in youth work or a similar field.  Substantial experience in working with teenagers is desirable – voluntary experience is valued.  The successful candidate will need to be a car owner with a full licence.

Canal Communities Regional Youth Service Bluebell Youth Project wish to recruit a Project Leader

A community youth service where young people, volunteers, youth workers and the local community together aim to enhance the social, personal and political development of young people. Our work embraces the principles of equality, respect, voluntary participation and quality youth work provision.  BYP aims to work through a rights-based equality framework to effect social change.

The successful candidate will work in partnership with staff, young people, volunteers and the local community. The ideal candidates will have a real commitment to the ethos and values of the service and fit the following profile requirements:

  • A *NSETS recognised professionally endorsed qualification in Youth Work or Youth and Community Work is essential and 5 years experience of working with young people at risk in a youth work setting in a paid capacity.
  • *NSETS: North/South Education and Training Standards for Youth Work Committee

In addition to the above, the candidate will demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of youth work, have a proven track record of relevant experience and possess a range of practical skills and attributes suited to the strategic objectives of CCRYS/Bluebell Youth Project.
